ABOUT

In 2019, Woodstock is launching Our Woodstock, Our Future – a community planning process to bring people together to explore what we want for our community’s future and then create the future we want to see. And we want to hear from you.
Woodstock is a great community with a rich history. We have a lot to love and celebrate. But we also face a lot of challenges. Like most Vermont towns, Woodstock needs to plan for a changing future. Our population is aging. The economy is shifting. The climate is warming. And society is always evolving.

Throughout the summer and fall, we’ll host a series of community events and activities that will help us identify what matters to the people who live, work and play in Woodstock. We’ll take those answers, identify our common values and goals, and create a bold new vision for the future. Then we’ll make it real. In the fall, we’ll come together to identify actions and projects that can move that vision forward, prioritize them, and start making plans.

Your voice matters – whether you’re a longtime Woodstock resident, a teenager growing up here, a new arrival, a business owner, a summer resident, an occasional visitor, or a neighbor from another town.

Who We Are

The Our Woodstock, Our Future process is led by a Steering Committee of Woodstock community members – residents, business owners, non-profit and agencies related to the arts, education, health, economic development, housing, recreation, and conservation.  The Steering Committee welcomes new participants at any time.

We have come together to help ensure that our town planning process is open, transparent, inclusive, engaging and balanced. We are committed to learning what YOU want for the future of Woodstock and helping to make it a reality.
